Why Help Laura?
Laura is a single young woman who just recently had a beautiful healthy baby girl named Piper. This should be a joyous occasion, but in Laura's life it is marred by the mental, physical and other kind of abuse that she had to endure during her short lifetime.
Her mom, lives in Florida and she lives in Maine approximately 1,700 miles away. She needs her mom badly to not only help her with her new adventure in motherhood, but also all the mental and emotional needs a new mother has.
Laura's journey through life has been extremely hard (to say the least). She had an abusive step-father, her father passed away from a brain tumor when she was 15, and the father of her baby abused her when he found out she was pregnant and then he threw her out all by herself and she had to stay in a homeless shelter.
To say the least, she and her newborn need stability VERY badly. She wants to be a good mom and she is trying as hard as she can but she and her precious one are falling between the cracks. Her mom doesn't have the money to send for her and make sure she has a place to live.
You can help this most unfortunate woman have a chance to get a real job, live in a decent neighborhood, and stop the vicious cycle of abuse.
